Halves Can’t Survive Apart

When the sun
fades and is finally
gone
We too disappear

When the river
no longer runs,
becomes stagnant,
aquatic life
ceases

When our air
is no longer breathable
and water fouled
we will all
perish.

We are
my heart
my soul
my eyes
together
tied together
in all.

So,
my love,
with us

Halves can’t survive
apart
Halves don’t breathe
separately
Halves have one
heart and one heartbeat.

Us
We
If you die
so too i cease to exist
When you suffer
so do I feel agony
When you cry
so too do I wipe away tears.

I, there is no
I.
We
We must save
us.
For this
my hand is extended
My love
take it
Don’t drown.
