Lost

I closed my eyes…
The voice became distant…
He was sitting right across to me, looking at me the way he looked
I felt the breeze on my face and the look in my heart…

i shouldn’t care with whom you listen to the song
it ought not matter

unbreakable
granite
rising toward the sky
should not care

but the stone crumbles
to dust

that letter
a couple of words
places we will never go together

write it

i shouldn’t care with whom you listen to the song
it ought not matter

write it

i stretch out my hand
near though you are
there is a chasm
unbreechable

write it

it shouldn’t matter with whom you listen to the song

  1. Dagenn says:

    But the song was ours,
    the music was my heart
    the lyrics were our love,
and the dance was my life.
    Give it away.
    Leave me here,
    leave our love,
    leave the memories as dust
pound my heart of stone to gravel.
Pour it into the chasm between us
    it will never fill it,
    never stop falling,
    never reach the end.
There is no bottom to the fall.

  2. Noman says:

I am incapable of walking away
    incapable of leaving
Scenes that play out every day
    without end

There is, indeed, no bottom to this fall
